Job summary

Simarco International in Stoke-on-Trent is hiring reliable Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join the team. The role covers receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, plus loading/unloading cargo with counterbalance forklift and pallet trucks.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 15:30 to 01:00, with flexibility required. A forklift licence is essential and previous logistics/warehouse experience is preferred. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and full training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics/warehouse environment.
• Counterbalance forklift truck driving licence is essential.
• Experience loading international groupage trailers is advantageous.
• Ability to pick orders and count stock.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and dispatch goods according to SOPs.
• Unload and load cargo using forklift or pallet truck.
• Load international groupage trailers as per loading plans.
• Pick and pack orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Wrap and unwrap goods; check for damage or loss.
• Maintain accurate inbound/outbound records.
• Daily housekeeping of warehouse and site.

Salary: £13.00 to £15.60 per hour (rates vary by shift times, see below)

Monday to Friday – 15:30pm to 01:00am (Flexibility required)

We are urgently seeking reliable and experienced Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join the team at our Stoke on Trent site. Shift times are Monday to Friday 15:30 to 01:00. This is an immediate start,

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

• Applicants must have worked in a logistics/warehouse environment before and have previous loading/unloading vehicles and experience of operating Counterbalance Forklift truck.
• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving licence is essential
• Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage
• Order pick and stock count
• Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
• Ability to function well as part of a team
• Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety
• Ability to work under pressure
• Punctual, reliable and professional

Compensation:

• The role will entail the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers’ goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles by using a forklift truck, pallet truck VNA MHE or by hand.
• Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans Pick and pack orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full.
• Wrap and unwrap of goods.
• Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
• Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse
• Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site.
