Job summary

Sony Europe is seeking an experienced finance professional to own the financial management of personnel-related FSGA expenses. You will combine accounting controllership with FP&A to convert headcount data into clear insights for senior leaders and support strategic workforce decisions.

Based at the Weybridge site, the role involves monthly close, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, and governance across IFRS and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification required (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent).
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in payroll, personnel expense accounting and headcount reporting in a large multinational.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls and confidential handling of personnel data.
• Good SAP and financial systems knowledge, advanced Excel and data analysis; Power BI/Power Query valued.
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close activities for personnel-related costs including accruals, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasts for personnel expenses and headcount across Sony Europe.
• Analyse variances, present reports to senior management and provide actionable insights.
• Act as a finance business partner to HR and business leaders on headcount, payroll and benefits costs.
• Govern financial master data for IFRS, SOX, audits and internal controls; maintain data integrity.
