Job summary

Sony Europe is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support revenue, commercial investments and inventory reporting from our Weybridge office. You will contribute to month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations and control processes while collaborating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

The role offers exposure to IFRS and SOX controls, data-driven insights with Power BI and Alteryx, and a clear path to broader financial operations across a pan-European setting.

Qualifications

• Finance or accounting experience in a large, complex or fast-paced organization.
• Strong analytical skills with confidence working with large data sets.
• Good systems capability including Power BI, Power Pivot, dashboards or reporting tools.
• Proactive and independent personality with curiosity to improve processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills with ability to support projects.
• Ability to collaborate with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and submission of management and corporate reports.
• Perform accounting and reporting activities related to revenue, inventory, commercial investments, and operating expenses.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances, trends, and business performance drivers.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, SOX controls, and corporate policies.
• Support audits, statutory reporting, and HQ consolidation requirements.
• Provide accounting support and guidance to finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
• Collaborate with outsourced service providers and monitor service delivery.
