Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, between 7am & 6pm, to be discussed at interview

Location: B92 8NW - Birmingham

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a EU Operations Controller to play a vital role in coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

What does the role entail?

As part of your duties, while maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Ensure that DHL service providers have agreed and signed off on contingency plans and have the necessary resources available to execute the plan.
• Liaise with carriers to ensure pre-arranged transport from the contingency plan, sourcing additional carriers if needed to optimize collection plans.
• Maintain relationships to ensure high, reliable on-time collection and delivery performance, and respond to moderate inquiries/requests from suppliers, carriers, and others (internal & external).
• Coordinate with the Billing/Payable Team to ensure correct cost recovery and invoicing.
• Escalate issues such as transit delays to appropriate contacts, including supervisors, management, customers, and third-party service providers.
• Ensure all transportation and customs documentation is created and processed accurately and timely, complying with regulatory requirements, and coordinate transportation with internal and external carriers & vendors.
