Job summary

Drnewitt is seeking an Ethical Technologist to join its fast-growing fresh produce technical team in Kent. The role focuses on ethical compliance and grower due diligence, acting as the link between international grower partners and major retailers, foodservice, and wholesalers.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will manage supply chain data, support R&D initiatives, and contribute to sustainable, value‑adding innovation across a high-demand product category.

Qualifications

• Background in fresh produce or food manufacturing, in a technical or QA environment.
• Ability to interpret third‑party and retailer standards while maintaining commercial focus.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities; confident with PowerPoint and Word.
• High precision when handling complex numerical data and compiling compliance docs.

Responsibilities

• Manage grower due diligence processes ensuring partners meet customer and third‑party requirements.
• Collate, analyse, and present complex technical data (primarily in Excel) for internal teams and customers.
• Gain hands‑on exposure to post‑harvest controls and end‑to‑end supply chain technical standards.
• Support R&D via projects including variety development and sustainable packaging solutions.
• Act as a liaison between global grower partners, internal teams, and customers.
