Job summary

The Avocado Company, based at our Ripening Centre of Excellence in Paddock Wood, is seeking a technologist to join a team of avocado experts. You will focus on compliance, manage grower due diligence, and act as the link between growers and customers.

This role offers learning across post-harvest controls, the entire supply chain, and the sophisticated ripening process, with tailored training and a path for progression in a fast-growing category.

Qualifications

• Trained in using Excel (advanced level) and comfortable with Pivot tables, Power pivot and basic formulas.
• Intermediate to advanced level in PowerPoint & Word.
• Organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to understand and interpret customer requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels internally and externally.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive can-do attitude.
• Ability to analyse complex data.
• QA or previous technical experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collate, present and analyse accurate data for the team and customers.
• Focus on due diligence and compliance with world class supply partners.
• Support category leadership through value adding innovation and R&D.
• Communicate effectively until implementation.
