Job summary

Northern Trains Limited is seeking an ETCS Project Manager to coordinate delivery of ETCS workstreams, ensuring plans stay on track and information is presented clearly to stakeholders across Northern and industry partners.

You will bring PMO experience, strong governance understanding and a track record of delivering complex reporting. This role is based in the North of England and offers extensive career development within a large railway operator.

Qualifications

• PMO experience and governance tooling
• Ability to turn complex information into clear reports
• Experience with MSP/PRINCE2 or similar
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting discipline
• Familiarity with UK rail sector is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Owns project management activity for ETCS workstreams
• Maintain and drive project plans across time horizons
• Prepare regular project reports for leaders and stakeholders
• Coordinate steering committee reporting and data storytelling
• Manage project information in Teams, SharePoint and other systems
• Develop and improve document control processes
• Explore digitisation of reporting and document management
• Align reporting with governance and programme requirements
• Support Head of TRU to meet Network Rail contractual obligations
• Assist CAF ETCS Upgrade contract delivery
