Job summary

Northern is seeking an ETCS Project Manager to coordinate and drive delivery across York, Leeds and Manchester. You will align plans, information and reporting across the ETCS programme, ensuring stakeholders have timely, clear insight into progress and risks.

You will connect with industry partners and internal teams to deliver on governance, contractual obligations with Network Rail and CAF ETCS upgrade requirements, while promoting efficient, auditable reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a PMO, including managing tools, processes and information that support project delivery.
• Experience with recognised project management qualifications (MSP, PRINCE2) or working towards one.
• Experience using project and programme management software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project management activity supporting Northern’s ETCS workstreams and maintain plans across timescales.
• Lead preparation of regular project reports for internal teams, senior leaders and industry stakeholders.
• Coordinate reporting for programme steering committees with accurate, consistent information.
• Consolidate information from multiple teams into clear, actionable reports.
• Manage ETCS programme data in Teams, SharePoint and other reporting systems to create a central information source.
