Job summary

Bimplus in Mexborough is seeking an experienced Estimator – Commercial flooring for new-build window and door projects in the residential sector. You will prepare and issue formal quotations to national and regional house builders, liaise with customers, architects and suppliers, and support tender processes.

The role requires reviewing drawings, producing accurate take-offs and BOQs, negotiating quotations to maximise orders, and handing over projects to operations after tenders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue formal quotations to national and regional house builders.

• Generate, follow up and negotiate quotations to maximise orders.
• Maintain tender records and estimating documentation in the CRM/database.
• Assist with project handovers to operations after tender success.

The role of Estimator – Commercial flooring will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with range of new-build window & door projects for the residential sector
• Preparing and issuing formal quotations to national and regional house builders
• Liaising with customers, architects, suppliers and internal teams, providing technical support throughout the tender process
• Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Producing accurate quantity take-offs and BOQs to prepare competitive quotations within customer deadlines
• Generating, following up and negotiating quotations to maximise order conversion
• Maintaining accurate tender records, quotations and estimating documentation on the internal CRM/database
• Assisting with project handovers to the operations and installation teams following successful tenders

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Commercial flooring with:

• Must have new build Estimating experience within the building products sector
• Must have experience dealing with architects / a technical product that is required to be specified
• Highly advantageous to have experience within the fenestration (windows and doors), sector
• Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
