Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimator – Interior Fit Out to lead end-to-end tendering for commercial hospitality fit-out projects in the East Midlands. You will perform take-offs, pricing, and handover, using drawings, specifications, and estimating software.

The role requires strong Estimating experience in interior fit-out or shopfitting, excellent communication, and a high level of organisation; you will mentor junior estimators and engage with clients and contractors on

Qualifications

• Experience in interior fit-out estimation or closely related field.
• Shopfitting sector knowledge is preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of materials, processes and costs.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and good communication.
• Proficient with MS Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering process including take-offs, pricing and submission.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings and specifications.
• Manage and track tender opportunities with timely follow-ups.
• Engage with clients and contractors through site visits and value engineering.
• Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers, and mentor junior estimators.
• Work on project sizes ranging from £10k to £300k.

The role Estimator – Interior Fit Out will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with a range of commercial hospitality fit out projects
• Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and estimating software
• Manage and track tender opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximise conversions
• Engage with clients and contractors through site visits, technical input, and value engineering to support bids
• Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers, and mentor junior estimators to strengthen delivery and capability
• Working on project sizes varying in size from £10k to £300k

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Interior Fit Out with:

• Must have Estimating experience within interior fit out or closely related
• Ideally have experience within the Shopfitting sector
• Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Full UK driving license
