Job summary

Fabric Recruitment Ltd is assisting a growing specialist manufacturing business in the construction and architectural products sector to recruit an Estimator based in Pinxton, Nottingham. The role involves reviewing enquiries, drawings, schedules and specifications, and preparing accurate quotations.

You will complete measurements and quantity take-offs using CAD, calculating costs across materials, labour, production, delivery and project needs.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating across cast stone, architectural stone, precast concrete or related construction products.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
• Experience carrying out measurements, take-offs and pricing.
• Good commercial awareness and profitable pricing.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify project risks, exclusions and special requirements.
• Contribute to improving estimating and pricing processes.

Description of the role

About you

• Previous estimating experience within cast stone, architectural stone, precast concrete, masonry, joinery, metalwork or other manufactured construction products would be advantageous.
• Strong CAD experience and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
• Experience carrying out measurements, take-offs and pricing.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of profitable pricing.
• The ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• A practical, proactive and commercially minded approach.
