Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan in North Devon is recruiting an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join its established commercial team. The role covers pricing work at tender stage and supporting financial management from commencement to completion across healthcare, education, commercial and residential sectors.

You will review drawings, carry out take-offs, obtain quotations, manage budgets, and liaise with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive estimating/quantity surveying experience in construction.
• Skilled in reviewing drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Strong numeracy and ability to manage tender budgets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates, quotations and project budgets.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and assess labour, materials and subcontract requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support tender submissions and bidding processes.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and manage variations.
