The company is seeking a skilled QS, either at project surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor level, to join its friendly and professional commercial team in Exeter. Your new role will involve overseeing the financial and contractual management of multimillion pound projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards.
Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
Conducting cost analysis and financial risk assessments
Administering contracts, including JCT and NEC forms, ensuring full compliance
Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure cost-effective agreements
Prepareing interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Collaborating with project teams to monitor progress and address commercial challenges
Delivering accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior management
Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
Ideally you'll hold or be working towards a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Experience in commercial project delivery sectors such as health and education
Possess strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
Exhibit strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficient in in cost management software
Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Hold a full UK driving licence
Have RICS qualification or be actively working towards it (desirable)
