Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Estimator for Mass Timber Projects based in Bedfordshire with hybrid working options. You will produce detailed quotations from construction drawings and advise on cost implications across residential and commercial timber projects.

We are looking for hands-on estimators who can read design drawings, communicate across all levels to hit commercial targets, and use MS Office to compile accurate tenders. Salary ranges £50,000–£60,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating timber projects (engineered timber or timber frame).
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Strong communication across levels to meet targets.

Are you an experienced estimator with a background estimating timber projects?

Would you like to work for a business who operate across both residential & commercial projects?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business who are delivering timber projects across the UK. You will be responsible for producing detail quotes to ensure you are meeting both the customers & the businesses requirements. Your background in construction will be essential as you will be expected to provide technical advice to customers & suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed quotations from construction drawings
• Ensure tenders are submitted on time to a high standard
• Liaise with all other departments within the business
• Attend pre start meetings with architects & clients

We would welcome conversations with estimators who:

• Have a background estimating within either the engineered timber or timber frame industries (Ideally CLT, Glulam, mass timber projects)
• Are able to read from construction design drawings
• Can communicate across all levels to ensure commercial targets are met
• Possess a strong understanding of different software packages, specifically MS Office
