Job summary

Damicor Limited in Northampton is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing team and secure ambitious commercial fit-out projects across the UK. You will produce detailed estimates and tenders, review drawings and specifications, and work with subcontractors to value and price packages accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for commercial fit-out projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and pricing, obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify project risks, exclusions and opportunities and produce competitive tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams; attend tender meetings and site visits as needed.

Estimator - Fit Out & Interiors

• Location: Northampton
• Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
• Job Type: Full-time

A well-established and growing fit-out company based in Northampton, delivering high-quality commercial interior and fit-out projects for a range of clients across the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team and play a key role in securing and delivering new projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Estimator who is looking to join a successful business where they can make a real impact.

The Role

As Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates and tenders across a range of commercial fit-out projects.

Working closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams, you will analyse tender information, obtain subcontractor and supplier quotations, and ensure projects are priced accurately and competitively.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed estimates and tenders for commercial fit-out projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation
• Carrying out accurate quantity take-offs and pricing
• Obtaining and assessing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Identifying project risks, exclusions and opportunities
• Producing competitive and commercially sound tender submissions
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Attending tender meetings and site visits where required
• Supporting the commercial team through the pre-construction and handover process
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and cost databases
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes

About You

We are looking for an experienced Estimator with a strong background in commercial fit out, interiors, refurbishment or construction.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the fit-out/interiors or construction sector
• Strong understanding of commercial fit-out projects and construction methods
• Excellent attention to detail and a commercially minded approach
• The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Experience obtaining and negotiating subcontractor/supplier quotations
• Strong IT and estimating skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge, question and identify opportunities
