Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator – Fire & Security based in London to cover surrounding areas. The role focuses on producing and reviewing quotations for commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

You will build relationships with developers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, manage project budgets and tender costs, and ensure cost effectiveness under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator in Fire & Security sectors.
• Ability to manage incoming tenders to tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Producing and reviewing quotations and ensuring cost effectiveness.
• Building relationships with developers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Preparing and overseeing project budgets and cost plans.
• Carrying out risk and value management.
• Working closely with Senior Management and External Sales teams.
• Overall responsibility for costing of quotation and tender returns.

The role of the Estimator – Fire & Security will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with a range fire & security services for commercial, industrial and residential sectors
• Producing and reviewing quotations and ensuring they are cost effective and competitive
• Building relationships with developers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
• Preparing and overseeing project budget and cost plans
• Carrying out risk and value management
• Working closely with Senior Management and the External Sales team
• Overall responsibility for the costing of quotation and tender returns

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Fire & Security with:

• Must have experience as an Estimator across the Fire & Security sectors
• Must be able to manage incoming tenders efficiently and produce quotations to tight deadlines
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills)
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• Must be a great team player
• High levels of organisation
