Job summary

Bimplus in London region is seeking an Estimator/Assistant Estimator to support its Remediation Division, focusing on fire door remediation and related works. The role offers exposure to refurbishment projects and potential career progression within the estimating field.

You will join an experienced commercial team, handling tenders, pricing and supplier liaison, with a view to developing your estimating career and professional qualifications in a growing sector.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator.
• Experience in fire doors and passive fire protection.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Keen to develop a long-term career within estimating.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and tenders primarily for fire door works.
• Assist with pricing of associated firestopping and passive fire protection works.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with tender submissions and pricing.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients and internal teams.
• Support the wider commercial team with estimating activities.

Job description

A well-established passive fire protection contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an Estimator to support its growing Remediation Division.

The role would suit an Assistant Estimator or early-career Estimator looking to develop their experience within the fire door and passive fire protection sector. The successful candidate will primarily work on fire door remediation and installation tenders, with some exposure to associated firestopping works.

You'll work alongside an experienced commercial team, gaining valuable estimating experience across a range of refurbishment and remediation projects, with excellent opportunities for career progression and further professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing estimates and tenders primarily for fire door works
• Assisting with pricing of associated firestopping and passive fire protection works
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assisting with tender submissions and pricing
• Liaising with suppliers, clients and internal teams
• Supporting the wider commercial team with estimating activities

About You

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator
• Experience in fire doors and passive fire protection
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
