Job summary

Sphere Solutions in Cardiff is seeking an Estimator to join our established contractor on commercial projects and refurbishments. You will prepare cost estimates, analyse project requirements and provide financial insights to support decision-making through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Proven ability to prepare cost estimates for construction projects.
Experience analysing drawings and specifications.
Experience with budgets and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including labour, materials, equipment and overhead.
Develop and manage tender documentation, ensuring specifications are met and submission deadlines are respected.
Analyse project drawings, specifications and other documentation to assess requirements and prepare detailed estimates.
Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, tracking and controlling costs.
Work with project managers, architects and engineers to ensure timely estimates.
Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing and suppliers to keep estimates competitive.
