Scottish Canals is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the Engineering & Assets Directorate in Falkirk, Glasgow or Inverness with hybrid working options. You will deliver detailed cost estimates, cost plans and commercial support across a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects.

The role requires working closely with project teams to develop robust cost data, support procurement, and maintain the engineering cost database to inform future investment and funding decisions.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in engineering estimating and cost planning.
• Understanding of procurement and tendering in infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contract frameworks.

Aufgaben

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans for capital and maintenance projects.
• Produce quantity take-offs from drawings and technical docs.
• Support tendering, procurement, and bid evaluations.
• Administer NEC4 documentation and monitor budgets.
• Develop and maintain engineering cost database and benchmarking.
