Job summary

Scottish Canals is seeking a Project Finance Accountant to join our Finance Department in Falkirk or Glasgow. You will support project accounting, capital reporting, audit readiness and statutory compliance, working a 35-hour week from Monday to Friday.

The role requires a professional accountancy qualification, at least 3 years in finance, and strong IFRS/FReM knowledge. Competitive salary and benefits apply, with pension and health plans on offer.

Qualifications

• Requires professional accountancy qualification and a minimum of 3 years in finance roles.
• Experience with IFRS and FReM standards.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities; attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support capital reporting for the Capital Investment Programme, including budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register accuracy and completeness.
• Provide audit readiness and statutory compliance support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across projects to ensure proper accounting treatment.
