Job summary

A well-respected industry leader in the UK is seeking a Facilities Management Estimator responsible for delivering accurate project specifications and costings. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction estimation, knowledge of relevant legislation, and be proficient in communication and problem-solving. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £30-£35,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant business operating systems, preferably Sage 200.
  • CAD experience is required.
  • Experienced estimator of construction works is essential.
  • Must possess CSCS, IOSH, SMSTS or greater qualifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation is necessary.
  • You should be an effective communicator.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
  • You must be a competent user of Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the estimating process to provide accurate specifications and project costings.
  • Ensure contract service level agreements relating to quotations are met.
  • Provide accurate bill of materials to the in-house team.
  • Meet with customers to create specifications and conduct site surveys.
  • Compile project packs including health and safety considerations.
  • Input to project specific documentation and planning.

Overview

My client is a well-respected industry leader with an excellent reputation and plans for growth. They are looking for an Estimator to join their team.

Responsibilities

As an Estimator your role will involve delivering the estimating process to provide accurate specifications, project costings/prices and bill of materials across a wide spectrum of projects. You will ensure the contract service level agreements (SLAs) relating to quotations are met in full. Provide accurate bill of materials to the in-house team to ensure all tools, plant and materials are available in advance of any project commencement date. You will meet with new and existing customers to create specifications and conduct detailed site surveys. Compilation of project packs that will contain all health and safety considerations and site restrictions, Input to project specific documentation and planning and maximising customer satisfaction and company profit will also fall under your remit.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of relevant business operating systems (Sage 200) (preferred)
