Job summary

Jark PLC in Leeds (LS11 area) is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate quotations, review technical requirements, and support business growth. The role includes leading the spare parts sales function and building lasting customer relationships on international projects.

We are looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Estimator, Quotations, Internal Sales, Sales Engineer, or Commercial Engineering role.
• Experience preparing quotations within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for engineering projects.
• Review customer specifications and technical requirements.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, engineering and production teams to develop competitive proposals.
• Follow up quotations and build strong customer relationships.
• Lead and grow the spare parts sales side of the business.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and upselling spare parts and services.
• Maintain quotation records and sales activity using internal systems.
• Support the wider commercial team in achieving sales targets.

My client in the LS11 area of Leeds are looking for an experienced Estimator.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual with an engineering background who can confidently prepare quotations, manage customer enquiries, and support business growth.

The successful candidate will also take a leading role in developing the company's spare parts sales division, building relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
