Job summary

Jark PLC in the Thurnscoe area of Doncaster is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare quotations, manage customer enquiries, and support business growth. The role will lead the spare parts sales function and build relationships with customers to identify revenue opportunities.

The successful candidate will have an engineering background, strong commercial awareness, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in Estimator, Quotations, Internal Sales, Sales Engineer, or Commercial Engineering roles.
• Experience preparing quotations within engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for engineering projects.
• Review customer specifications and technical requirements.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, engineering and production teams to develop competitive proposals.
• Follow up quotations and build strong customer relationships.
• Lead and grow the spare parts sales side of the business.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and upselling spare parts and services.
• Maintain quotation records and sales activity using internal systems.
• Support the wider commercial team in achieving sales targets.

The successful candidate will also take a leading role in developing the company's spare parts sales division, building relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Estimator, Quotations, Internal Sales, Sales Engineer, or Commercial Engineering role
• Experience preparing quotations within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
