Job summary

Fabric Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator for a growing manufacturing business in the Pinxton/Nottingham area. You will review enquiries, drawings and specifications, prepare quotations and perform take-offs using CAD.

You'll calculate costs for materials, labour, delivery and project requirements, liaise with customers and suppliers, and work closely with production to ensure pricing is accurate and achievable. A strong commercial mindset and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within construction products, preferably stone or masonry.
• Strong CAD skills to interpret drawings.
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with measurements, take-offs and pricing.
• Good commercial awareness and profitable pricing sense.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient IT skills, including Excel.

Responsibilities

We're working with a growing specialist manufacturing business operating within the construction and architectural products sector. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team.

Description of the role

• Review customer enquiries, drawings, schedules and specifications.

• Complete measurements and quantity take-offs from drawings.


• Use CAD to interpret and work with technical drawings.


• Calculate costs covering materials, labour, production, delivery and project-specific requirements.


• Liaise with customers and colleagues to clarify project requirements.

About you

• Previous estimating experience within cast stone, architectural stone, precast concrete, masonry, joinery, metalwork or other manufactured construction products would be advantageous.

• Experience carrying out measurements, take-offs and pricing.


• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of profitable pricing.


• The ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines.


• Strong communication and organisational skills.
