Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimator – Facades in Essex. The role covers GRC, glass reinforced concrete, brickslips, terracotta, renders, aluminium and HPL cladding; you will review tender enquiries and liaise with clients to gather information.

You will obtain competitive prices from suppliers, carry out site surveys, produce formal quotations, maintain tender records, and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines for projects from £500k to £25m.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience within the cladding/facade industry.
• Understanding of rainscreen and curtain walling is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Onscreen Takeoff software is preferred.
• Must be an outgoing team player with strong organisational skills.
• Excellent time management, communication and numerical abilities.
• Proactive with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

Estimator – Facades

Job Title: Estimator – Facades

Location: Essex

Remuneration: £60,000 - £75,000 + bonus

Benefits: Pension, 25 days annual leave

The role of the Estimator – Facades will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with various architectural external finishes inclusive of but not limited to GRC, Glass Reinforced Concrete, Brickslips, Terracotta, Renders, Aluminium and High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) cladding.
• Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements
• Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
• Liaise with suppliers and manufactures to obtain competitive prices
• Carrying out site surveys as and when required
• Producing formal quotations to clients
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
• Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Estimating for projects from £500k - £25m

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Facades with:

• Must have estimating experience within the cladding / façade / building envelope industry
• Strong understanding of rainscreen and curtain walling is highly advantageous
• Understanding of Onscreen Takeoff software package
• Must be an outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team
• High levels of organisation and excellent time management
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
