Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an Estimator Curtain Walling to produce estimates for a high-end range of architectural glazing systems, including curtain walling, glazing and rainscreen cladding.

You will review tender documents, use estimating software to determine material costs, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quotations while maintaining relationships with main contractors and updating the CRM system.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within building envelope market sector.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with estimating software and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Produce estimates for a high-end manufactured range of architectural glazing systems.
• Review tender documents and produce high-quality tender returns.
• Utilise estimating software to determine material costs.
• Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations.
• Liaise with main contractors and maintain CRM updates.
• Prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Role responsibilities

• Estimator position producing estimates for a high end manufactured range of architectural glazing systems such as: aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, glazing, and rainscreen cladding
• Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
• Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
• Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
• Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
• Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
• Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met

Ideal applicant

• Must have estimating experience within building envelope market sector
• Must have good technical knowledge of the faade industry (curtain walling, windows and doors, glazing, and rainscreen)
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Must be IT literate, ideally familiar with estimating software like Schueco and Logikal
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
