Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is seeking an Estimator to support tendering activity for high-security projects in the UK construction sector. The role focuses on reviewing documents, pricing and cost analysis across diverse, technically challenging workloads.

You will join a growing estimating department and collaborate with Sales, Project Management and Production to deliver accurate bids and competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Estimator role, with construction backgrounds considered.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident using Excel and estimation software, with Bluebeam or PlanSwift beneficial.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD beneficial.
• Organised, proactive and keen to develop within a growing department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules.
• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications.
• Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain organised records of estimates and submissions.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Project Management and Production teams.

The Company

A long-established manufacturer and subcontractor delivering high-security solutions for the UK construction sector. They design and install specialist products including ballistic and blast-resistant doors, walls, windows and louvres for government, healthcare and critical-infrastructure projects.

With continued growth in the estimating department, they are now recruiting an Estimator to support tendering activity across a diverse and technically interesting workload.

The Role: Estimator

You will support the estimating team with tender reviews, pricing and cost analysis across a wide range of security-focused projects. This role suits someone with early estimating experience who wants to progress within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
