Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Hampshire/Surrey team. You will prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for residential developments, working with commercial and technical teams to ensure competitive pricing and commercial viability.

The role requires reviewing drawings, specifications and documentation, analysing quotations, and performing material and labour take-offs to support project procurement and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in residential construction.
• Strong understanding of house building costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Knowledge of subcontractor and supplier markets.

Job description

We are currently working with an established residential / social housing main Contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team in Hampshire / surrey .

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders across a range of residential developments, working closely with the commercial and technical teams to ensure projects are competitively priced and commercially viable.

About You

• Previous experience working as an Estimator within the open market, residential construction sector.
• Strong understanding of house building and construction costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Good knowledge of subcontractor and supplier markets across South Wales.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software.
