Job summary

A South Wales-based, established residential developer is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team. You will prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders across a range of residential developments, working closely with commercial and technical teams to ensure competitive pricing.

You will conduct viability studies, review drawings and specifications, obtain quotations, perform take-offs, and spot commercial opportunities while ensuring timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an estimator in the open market within residential construction.
• Strong understanding of housebuilding costs and commercial awareness.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for residential developments.
• Conducting viability studies and reviewing drawings and specifications.
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Carrying out material and labour take-offs and identifying cost savings.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to support the tender process.
