Job summary

Caval Limited in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing drylining subcontracting team. You will review drawings, prepare estimates and quotations, take-offs, and submit competitive tenders.

The role requires strong knowledge of labour, materials and subcontractor costs, plus confidence with Excel and estimating software. You will liaise with clients and suppliers and manage multiple tenders to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating within drylining, ceilings, partitions or wider construction.
• Strong ability to read drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of labour, material and subcontractor costs.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software.

Estimator - Drylining Subcontractor

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Estimator to join our growing drylining subcontracting business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender packages, preparing accurate estimates and quotations, obtaining material and labour costs, completing take-offs, and submitting competitive tenders.

• Previous estimating experience within drylining, ceilings, partitions or the wider construction industry
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Strong knowledge of labour, material and subcontractor costs
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Confident using Excel and estimating software
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Hours: 40

Salary: 60,000 to 65,000
