Job summary

Confidential Client in Cardiff, Wales seeks an Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates across mechanical, piping, liquid cooling (HVAC), MEP and fabrication packages, supporting projects from tender through to delivery.

The role requires mechanical, piping or MEP estimating experience, knowledge of HDPE, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel piping, the ability to read drawings/P&IDs, and strong commercial cost-planning skills.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating mechanical, piping or MEP works for data centre or industrial projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs and specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost-planning capability.
• Advanced knowledge of Liquid Cooling, Piping, HVAC and related systems.
• Experience with BIM, Revit, Navisworks or estimating software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates across mechanical, piping, liquid cooling (HVAC), MEP and fabrication packages.
• Support projects from tender through to delivery with robust cost control.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates across mechanical, piping, liquid cooling (HVAC), MEP and fabrication packages, supporting projects from tender through to delivery.

Key Requirements:

• Mechanical, piping or MEP estimating experience
• Knowledge of HDPE, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel piping systems
• Ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs and specifications
• Strong commercial awareness and cost-planning skills
• Data centre, mission-critical or industrial project experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge on Liquid Cooling, Piping, HVAC and ideally a degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience with BIM, Revit, Navisworks or estimating software is advantageous.
