Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an Estimating Engineer – Gas & Heating Systems to estimate commercial gas/heating work across large residential, industrial, and commercial projects. Site surveys, liaising with clients and suppliers, and producing accurate quotes are core responsibilities.

You will review drawings, coordinate with project teams, and manage enquiries from survey through to quotation submission, ensuring smooth handovers on site.

Qualifications

• Estimator role responsible for the estimating for commercial gas/heating systems across a range of large scale residential, industrial and commercial projects.
• Carry out site surveys for commercial, industrial and residential plumbing and heating projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations, covering labour, materials and project costs.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate pricing.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain information and costs.
• Manage enquiries from initial survey through to quotation submission.
• Work closely with the project and site teams to ensure a smooth handover.

The ideal applicant will be an Estimating Engineer – Gas & Heating Systems with:

• Must have extensive experience with of gas/heating systems
• Ideally have experience quoting / estimating gas/heating systems
• Ideally worked on medium-large scale residential, commercial or industrial projects
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Simpro software package
• A highly motivated individual, who is flexible and has an excellent work ethic
