Job summary

Pertemps Banbury is seeking two experienced Plumbing, Gas & Heating Engineers to join a busy Banbury team. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, covering domestic and commercial sites within 30 miles.

A company van is provided, with start date before the end of August. You’ll install, service and repair heating systems, perform gas safety checks, and complete accurate job sheets while upholding professional standards.

Job description

A respected Banbury‑based company is seeking two experienced Plumbing, Gas & Heating Engineers to join their growing team. This is a full‑time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, covering both commercial and domestic sites within a 30‑mile radius of Banbury. You will be provided with a company van and will carry out a wide range of plumbing, heating and gas‑related work. The ideal start date is as soon as possible, with a preference for candidates who can begin before the end of August.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing and repair of heating systems across domestic and commercial properties
• Fault‑finding, diagnostics and maintenance of boilers, heating systems and plumbing infrastructure
• Gas safety checks and certification
• Responding to planned and reactive jobs
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional standards
• Completing accurate job sheets and compliance documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Gas & Heating Engineer or similar role
• Strong plumbing knowledge and ability to work independently
• Confident working across both commercial and domestic environments
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence

Essential & Desirable Qualifications

• Domestic Gas Safe Registration
• Commercial Gas Certification (highly desirable)
• Additional beneficial qualifications may include:
  • Unvented hot water systems (G3)
  • OFTEC (if oil systems are relevant)
  • Plumbing NVQ Level 2/3
