Job summary

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group is seeking a proactive Estate Supervisor to join our Environmental Services team on a fixed-term basis until May 2027. You will lead and coordinate grounds maintenance, cleaning, arboriculture and related activities, supporting frontline teams to deliver high standards across our estates.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental Services including grounds maintenance, cleaning, arboriculture, fencing, flagging or waste removal.
• Proven ability to supervise operational teams and drive productivity and customer service.
• Knowledge of equipment, working practices and health and safety (COSHH, risk assessments, method statements).
• Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to manage changing workloads and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Grounds Maintenance and Mobile Estate Operatives, providing coverage when needed.
• Support day-to-day delivery of grounds maintenance, cleaning, arboriculture, fencing, flagging and waste removal.
• Plan workloads and allocate resources to maintain productivity and value for money.
• Monitor performance, attendance and service standards; coach colleagues and support development.
• Work with customers, contractors and partners to maintain high standards and address issues.
• Promote safe working practices; ensure risk assessments and method statements comply with safety requirements.
