Job summary

Hedyn is seeking an Estates Ranger to maintain and improve local environments across housing estates. The role is field-based and outdoors, focusing on grounds maintenance, litter removal, graffiti clearance, health and safety checks, and engaging with residents.

You will inspect estates, support community events, and work with residents and partner organisations to deliver clean, safe spaces and high customer satisfaction. A full driving licence and horticultural qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in estate or grounds maintenance.
• Relevant horticultural or grounds maintenance qualifications.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with residents, internal teams, and contractors to ensure excellent service.
• Clear blocked bin chutes and tidy communal areas.
• Remove litter and fly tipping from Hedyn land and maintain shrub beds and parking areas.
• Conduct daily safety checks on the works vehicle and record findings.
• Remove weeds and overgrowth from Hedyn land and open areas.
• Dispose of waste in line with regulations and prepare bins for collection.
• Educate residents on proper waste disposal and recycling.
• Attend meetings and assist with community events as required.
• Collaborate with Hedyn colleagues, community groups, and PCSOs on estate issues.
• Assist with tidying gardens of void and tenanted properties when requested.
• Remove graffiti and undertake estate inspections to ensure clean and safe environments.
• Observe health and safety regulations and support other team members.
