Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions is seeking a self-motivated, IT-literate craftsperson with strong engineering knowledge to join the estates team. The role involves fault finding across a wide range of engineering plant, plus planned maintenance, general repairs and energy centre checks to ensure continuous hospital service.

The post holder will act as Competent Person for the LV electrical distribution and will work to maintain safe, compliant estate infrastructure in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications (BTEC/ONC/HNC or NVQ3).
• Knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices.
• Training related to first aid for electric shock.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service and repair the full range of estates equipment, plant and infrastructure.
• Provide technical advice to estates staff and contractors to ensure safety compliance.
• Act as Competent Person for Electrical Distribution (LV) systems.
