Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions is recruiting a Specialist Craftsperson (Mechanical and Electrical) to join the estates team at University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton-on-Tees. The role focuses on fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance, repairs and energy centre checks to ensure continuous hospital service.

Applicants should have engineering qualifications (BTEC/ONC/HNC or NVQ3), experience in hospital environments, and knowledge of LV electrical distribution.

Qualifications

• BTEC, ONC and HNC engineering qualifications (or NVQ3 equivalent).
• Adequate knowledge of first aid for electric shock.
• Sterilizer maintenance/testing to EN285.
• Medical gas pipelines and water regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service and repair the full range of estates equipment and infrastructure.
• Provide technical advice to estates maintenance staff and contractors for safety standards.
• Act as Competent Person for LV electrical distribution.
