Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Estates Senior Technician to join the Estates team. The role requires qualification as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician with extensive hands-on experience to service and repair Estates plant and systems, ensuring 24/7 operation.

You will work across a shift pattern, participate in on-call duties, and be able to train colleagues in safe operation and maintenance practices while liaising with Trust staff and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician with substantial practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on Estates plant and systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and job requests across Estates equipment.
• Work as part of a shift system and participate in the On-Call rota.
