Liverpool John Moores University invites applications for an Assistant Project Manager (Minor Works) on a fixed-term basis for 2 years. You will help deliver a programme of refurbishment, maintenance and statutory compliance across the university estate, supporting the Estates Development team.

Ideal candidates will have experience in estates, construction or building projects, strong focusing on safety, quality and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering refurbishment, maintenance or construction projects within a complex estate environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities with a focus on customer service, quality and health and safety.

Responsabilités

• Manage and deliver minor works projects from conception to completion.
• Develop project briefs, specifications, programmes and cost estimates.
• Procure consultants and contractors in accordance with University procurement procedures.
• Administer contracts and monitor contractor performance.
• Manage project budgets and provide accurate financial reporting.
• Lead contract review meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Undertake site inspections and monitor quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Support the achievement of University sustainability and environmental objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.
• Contribute to strategic estate initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Develop effective working relationships across the University community and external partners.
