Job summary

The Howard Partnership Trust is seeking an Estates Painter & Maintenance Apprentice to join our Estates Mobile Team, delivering painting, decorating and general maintenance across multiple school sites in Surrey. You will learn to complete prep, finishes, minor repairs, and assist with emergencies while gaining hands-on experience and training through the Trust.

This fixed-term apprenticeship typically lasts 12-18 months, with training and development opportunities and flexible working hours

Qualifications

• Interest in painting, decorating or general maintenance trades.
• Reliable, organized and able to work independently.
• Willing to learn health and safety procedures with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality painting, decorating and general maintenance.
• Carry out minor repairs under guidance, such as replacing locks or taps.
• Support the Estates Mobile Team with reactive repairs and winter gritting duties.
• Provide occasional caretaker cover and basic site security checks.
• Follow safety, safeguarding policies and report issues promptly.
