Job summary

National Highways is seeking an Estates Net Zero Project Manager to lead capital delivery schemes that decarbonise our estate. The role focuses on installing renewable tech, decarbonising heating and improving energy and water efficiency across depots, offices and control centres, with end-to-end project management from inception to handover.

Based in the UK, you will be able to work from any NH office and will travel to regional sites.

Qualifications

Degree or professional qualification in carbon management, climate change or project delivery.
APM Full Member accreditation.
Ability to collaborate with a range of colleagues and external partners.
Strong understanding of energy and carbon management, climate solutions, and the need for transformational change.
Good analytical skills and the ability to manage data and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of capital projects to decarbonise the estate (solar PV, heating decarbonisation, energy and water efficiency).
Oversee end-to-end project management from inception to handover.
Manage data improvement actions and metering upgrades within the decarbonisation plan.
Identify and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies and constraints with contractors and stakeholders.
Develop robust business cases to justify investment and benefits, ensuring compliance with requirements.
