Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Mechanical Lead Technician to maintain and improve clinical environments. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across the estate, coordinating with other trades to keep facilities safe and functional for patients and staff.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, a Level 3 BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent, and flexibility for on-call duties. NHS pension and leave entitlements accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Level 3 BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent training in mechanical/building service engineering.
• Experience in mechanical or building service maintenance or related trades.
• Willingness to work flexibly including on-call duties and after-hours tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on the trust estate.
• Work with other trades to ensure safe, reliable plant and systems.
• Be available for on-call duties and respond to maintenance tasks outside normal clinic times.
