Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an Estates Operative for Holton Heath to join a supportive estates team within an educational environment.

You will carry out first‑fix repairs, general maintenance, and assist with the upkeep of buildings and grounds. You’ll coordinate with subcontractors, serve as a friendly contact for visitors, and work with site management to ensure smooth operations and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have practical maintenance or trades experience with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-fix repairs and general maintenance across the school site.
• Support the upkeep and presentation of buildings, facilities and grounds.
• Assist with the coordination and supervision of subcontractors on site.
• Act as a professional and approachable first point of contact for visitors and contractors.
• Work closely with the estates and site management team on day-to-day operations.
• Undertake in-house and external training opportunities to develop technical skills.
