Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is recruiting an Estates Operative for Holton Heath. The role involves carrying out first-fix repairs, general maintenance across the school site, and supporting upkeep of buildings and grounds.

You will coordinate subcontractors and act as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors. Ideal candidates have practical maintenance or trades experience, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to develop technical skills through training opportunities.

Qualifications

• General maintenance or trades experience.
• Practical and hands-on with good problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable dealing with visitors, subcontractors, and suppliers on site.
• Keen to learn and develop through ongoing training.
• Reliable, approachable, and able to work well within a team.
• Must live within a commutable distance to Holton Heath.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-fix repairs and general maintenance across the school site.
• Support the upkeep and presentation of buildings, facilities, and grounds.
• Assist with the coordination and supervision of subcontractors on site.
• Act as a professional and approachable first point of contact for visitors and contractors.
• Work closely with the estates and site management team on day-to-day operations.
• Undertake in-house and external training opportunities to develop technical skills.
