Job summary

The role sits in Property Services, delivering repairs, compliance, and estate services with not-for-profit values. Salary starts around £13,251 per annum, rising to £13,949 after 12 months, with full-time equivalent noted for context.

Qualifications

• British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) or similar or willing to work towards.
• Working knowledge and experience of undertaking caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties.
• Some practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
• Basic communication skills for reading written instructions and updating records.

Responsibilities

• Undertake basic repairs, grounds maintenance, caretaking and general cleaning, in accordance with agreed scheme specification.
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract specifications and to upscale complaints as appropriate.
• Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer’s guidance.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensure stock levels are maintained.
