Job summary

The Sheffield City Council is seeking an Estate Officer to join the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service. The role focuses on maintaining safe and clean communal areas in blocks of flats within the Sheffield North-East and Central Area, with flexibility to work across neighbourhood teams.

Responsibilities

• Estate / block cleaning and upkeep.
• Clear blocked refuse chutes; keep bin rooms clean.
• Rubbish collection and disposal.
• Delivery of mail in estate areas.
• Graffiti removal and reporting.
• Liaison with tenants.
• Report repairs and inspect communal areas.
• Prepare written and verbal reports as required.
• Undertake minor communal repairs.
• Weed and prune communal areas.
