Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking an Estate Management Assistant on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028 for the North Locality Housing Team in Blairgowrie. The role involves conducting routine inspections of communal areas, reporting hazards, supporting tenancy sign-ups and providing basic housing advice under supervision.

You will work across a large rural and urban estate, liaising with housing officers, residents and contractors to keep estates safe, clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing or customer service in a community based service.
• Willingness to work outdoors and lone working with risk assessments.
• Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, housing systems, record-keeping and report writing).
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of communal areas and grounds.
• Identify and report hazards, repairs, anti-social behaviour, and health & safety concerns.
• Monitor cleaning and grounds maintenance standards; liaise with contractors as required.
• Perform fire safety and health & safety checks in line with policy and procedure.
• Assist with tenancy audits, property visits, and occupancy checks; support new tenant sign-ups and provide basic housing advice under supervision.
• Address minor tenancy breaches and act as first point of contact for tenants during estate visits.
