FirstPort is seeking an estate operative to support site maintenance and resident services. The role requires delivering a clean, safe environment, assisting the Development Manager, and liaising with contractors to ensure timely work.

You will have a driving licence, a proactive attitude, and enjoy working independently with regular team meetings. The position offers part-time hours and a local working pattern in our residential developments.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in an estate operative role.
• Valid CSCS card desirable.
• Electrical/plumbing knowledge; related qualification advantageous.
• Understanding of Health & Safety incl. COSHH.
• Power tools and working at height training an advantage.
• Confident, polite communicator building relationships.
• Exceptional customer service with multitasking ability.

Responsabilités

• Provide general cleaning and maintenance support to the Development.
• Liaise with authorised contractors and notify Development Manager of work start/completion.
• Report defects/incidents and take corrective action with Development Manager.
• Carry out monthly emergency light checks and monthly fire alarm checks with Development Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance or lighting issues.
• Undertake routine repairs/refit door locks as needed.
• Ensure tools are maintained and used by authorised personnel.
• Pressure wash/clean bin stores weekly; keep footpaths and communal areas clean.
• Carry out touch-up paint in communal areas as required.
• Regularly check and maintain terrace areas, plant watering.
