Job summary

The Newt in Somerset is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our Farmyard Kitchen team. You will help keep the kitchen spotless, support chefs and ensure smooth operation while maintaining high hygiene standards and efficient handovers between shifts.

This role is 30 hours per week, including regular weekends and evenings, with driving recommended due to estate location. Driving license is advised for convenient access.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas.
• Washing kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
• Following all hygiene, cleanliness and food safety procedures.
• Supporting chefs and front of house teams as needed.
• Completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Assisting with deliveries and basic food preparation when required.
• Ensuring a clean and organised handover between shifts.
