Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Facilities Assistant for the Estates team at the Berkshire College of Agriculture campus. This full-time, permanent role works 39 hours per week with a salary of £26,860.46–£28,758.81 per annum, aligned to a 37-hour equivalent salary of £25,483.00–£27,284.00.

Qualifications

• Experience with facilities maintenance and safety practices is desirable.
• Hands-on experience maintaining building systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure heating, electrical, lighting and building management systems.
• Assist with mechanical and electrical repairs, servicing and improvements.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and support statutory compliance activities (fire safety checks, Legionella management, biomass boilers, PAT, emergency lighting).
• Manage helpdesk requests through the Facilities Management system.
• Prepare rooms for teaching and events; assist with porterage duties and fuel supply management.
• Open/close college buildings daily; respond to fire and intruder alarms; coordinate with external contractors.
